Zahra Saleh was born on 3rd March 1961 in the Northern part of Somalia. She is Executive Secretary, author of two research social books, and entrepreneur with 27 years of experience as an Administrator in the United Arab Emirates. She started writing in 1991 with an aim to give the world the true picture of the civil war which was going in her country. She wrote small columns of ” letter to the editor” in the Gulf News, one of the most popular English News papers published in Dubai. She has written essays, analyzing the hot issues of world politics, especially about the Middle East. Later she ventured away from politics and in 2003 started writing her first research book titled “How To Make Your Man”. She has published a translation of her second script called ” Jealousy In the Office”, written in English but translated into Arabic. During the FEMRITE Regional Residency, she will be working on her latest work-in-progress, titled ‘Falling I Love With a Foreign Man.’
She currently lives in Puntland, Somalia.
